Description
 
The working principle of the oil level sensor is to accurately measure the oil level, oil temperature and engine oil state. An oil state sensor is installed in the oil pan of the engine. By measuring the oil level, low oil levels and consequent engine damage can be avoided. By measuring the oil state, it is possible to avoid engine damage caused by poor oil quality.
The sensor consists of two cylindrical capacitors mounted on top of each other. Oil state is measured by a small capacitor below; two metal tubes are nested as capacitor electrodes with engine oil as the dielectric between the electrodes.
