Material properties:
The cemented carbide blade is mainly made of the whole cemented
carbide as the base material, which is processed through a number
of production processes.
Cemented carbide, also known as tungsten steel, is made of
high-quality tungsten carbide + cobalt powder by pressing and
sintering after mixing the formula. It has high hardness, high
strength, high wear resistance and high elastic modulus. It belongs
to powder metallurgy industry. As the teeth of modern industry,
cemented carbide cutting tools play a fundamental role in promoting
the development of manufacturing industry.
The cemented carbides can be divided into ordinary cemented
carbides, fine-grained cemented carbides and sub-fine and
ultra-fine-grained cemented carbides according to the grain size,
and the newly developed double-crystal cemented carbides. According
to the main chemical composition, it can be divided into tungsten
carbide-based cemented carbide and titanium carbide-based cemented
carbide. Tungsten carbide-based cemented carbides include
tungsten-cobalt (YG), tungsten-cobalt-titanium (YT) and rare
carbides (YW). They have their own advantages and disadvantages.
The main components are tungsten carbide (WC), titanium carbide
(Tic), niobium carbide (NbC), and other commonly used metal bonding
phases are Co. TiC-based cemented carbide is a kind of cemented
carbide with Tic as its main component. The commonly used metal
bonding phases are Mo and Ni. Cemented carbide has the
characteristics of high hardness (86-93 HRA, equivalent to 69-81
HRC), second only to diamond, good thermal hardness (up to 900-1000
C, maintaining 60 HRC), high flexural strength (MPa5100), good
impact toughness and chemical inertia with high corrosion
resistance.
