First, the concept of flange

2. Common flange standards

1. ASME flange standard
ASME flange standards are developed by the American Society of
Mechanical Engineers and are divided into two series B16.5 and
B16.47. The B16.5 series is suitable for pressure grades up to
2500LB and the B16.47 series is suitable for pressure grades up to
400LB. ASME flange standard specifies the parameters of flange
thread, size, pressure and so on.
2. JIS flange standard
JIS flange standard is a Japanese industrial standard developed,
divided into B2220 and B2291 two series. The B2220 series is
suitable for pressure levels below 10K, and the B2291 series is
suitable for pressure levels above 10K. The parameters such as
thread, size and pressure of the flange are also specified in the
JIS flange standard.
3. EN flange standard
The EN flange standard is developed by European standards and is
suitable for engineering design within Europe. It is divided into
EN1092, EN1759 and other series, and specifies the tightness of the
flange and other parameters.
3. Relevant parameters such as size and pressure in the standard
Flange standards specify a number of relevant dimensions and
pressure parameters, which have a decisive impact on engineering
design and selection. Common parameters include flange diameter
(DN), screw hole number (N), screw hole diameter (d), flange
thickness (H), screw hole center distance (L), center aperture
(d1), etc. In terms of pressure grades, ASME standards usually
stipulate 250LB, 300LB, 600LB, 1500LB, 2500LB, etc., while JIS
standards stipulate 5K, 10K, 16K, 20K, 30K, etc.
