Alternator mechanical features:
 

Frame. The frame is made by steel plate. All industrial standard generators is IP21(NEMA1), also IP23 is an option. But rated power will decrease 5%.

Shaft and key. All generator rotors are dynamically balanced to better than bs6861: Part1 grade2.5 for minimum vibration in operation. Two bearing generators are balanced with a half key.

Terminals and terminal box. Standard generators are 3-phase reconnect able with 12 ends brought out to the terminals, which are mounted on a cover at the non-drive end of the generator. A sheet steel terminal box contains the AVR and provides ample space for the customers' wiring and gland arrangements. It has removable panels for easy access.

Engine adaptor and coupling. All generators have two kinds construction. The single-bearing generators engine adaptor to SAE 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, the coupling discs to SAE 7, 5, 8, 10, 11, 5, 14 and 18 are available.

The double-bearing generators adaptor to SAE 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 are available.
