This kind of material products are generally referred to as "non-stick coating";Is a kind of using all the hydrogen atoms in the fluorinated polyethylene synthetic polymer materials.This material has the acid alkali resistance, resistance to the characteristics of various kinds of organic solvent, almost insoluble in all solvents.At the same time, ptfe has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, low coefficient of friction of it, so can make lubrication, also became the non-stick pan and ideal coating of pipe lining.
Specification for Zn-Ni Electroplated + PTFE top-coat Coated
Stud-Bolts Coatings are applied on carbon and alloy steel
bolts for the primary purpose of corrosion resistance
especially when such bolts are exposed to adverse marine or
coastal environments. Refer to DEP 30.48.00.32 – Gen for the
requirement for coating of stud-bolts (fasteners) Before
supply of any coated bolts, the warranty period and associated
corrosion protection coating condition shall be agreed by the
Contractor with the Principal. A minimum warranty period of
five (5) years shall be provided for the coating applied.
However, the design life of coating shall be the same as the
design life of stud-bolt.
The coating type selected for flanged joints on carbon and alloy
steel stud-bolts is Zn-Ni electroplating + PTFE topcoat. Zn-Ni
electroplating in accordance to ASTM B841 + PTFE coating
applied as top coat in
accordance with MESC SPE 81/007 supplementary
requirements. The zinc-nickel alloy coating deposited from an
alkaline, cyanide free, electrolyte shall have 6-8% Ni with
yellow iridescent passivate or 12 to
18% nickel and the balance being zinc. The normal coating thickness
of this system is 10 microns. The coating thickness shall be 5
to 10 microns on parts with external threads and 8 to 18
microns on parts
without threads. The maximum coating thickness from an alkaline
cyanide free electrolyte should be 25 microns.
