FW—1101 is a high Chromium, high Boron alloy cast iron type
hardfacing electrode. The deposited metal consists of carboborides,
alloyed Martensite, and eutectic phase. It offers good resistance
to low-stress abrasive accompanied with low impact of sands and
broken rocks or good resistance to erosion of fine particles, low
impact and low angle.
This product has no special requirements for welding equipment.
Both AC and DC can be used with stable arc, easy operation, easy
slag removal, and good surface finish.
Brick manufacturing: Clay extruder screw, mixer impeller blades, template etc.
Mining: Ore hoister bucket, compounder hopper and the teeth, ore conveyor
Construction: Rotary buckets impellers, concrete mixer blades etc.
Paper-making: Pulp mixer impellers, crusher blades etc.
Agriculture tools: Flighter, colter, shovel, reaphook, feed crusher blades,
loosening-earth tools etc.
1、FW—1101 should be baked for one hour with the temperature of
300°C before use.
2、A maximum deposit of 2 layers with a thickness of 6mm is
3、The deposited metal provides good resistance to low-stress
abrasion, but it is very brittle with low toughness, so it is not
suitable for high impact or collision applications.
4、In some cases, FW-4102 should be applied as the buffering layer.
