ASTM A213 ASME SA 213 309S Stainless Steel Tube, EN 10216-5 1.4833 Stainless Steel Tubing is typically used for elevated temperature applications. Its high chromium and nickel content provides comparable corrosion resistance, superior resistance to oxidation, and the retention of a larger fraction of room temperature strength than the common austenitic Alloy 304.

309S Stainless Steel Tube is a highly alloyed austenitic stainless steel used for its excellent oxidation resistance, high temperature strength and creep resistance. The lower nickel content of SX309 improves resistance to sulphur attack at high temperature. It is tough and ductile, and can be readily fabricated and machined.

309S is the low-carbon version of 309, and is recommended for applications where sensitisation, and subsequent corrosion by high temperature gases or condensates during shutdown may pose a problem.309 is manufactured to ASTM A 167 and 309S to ASTM A240 specifications.

309S stainless steel pipe is used often for higher temperature applications. While its oxidation resistance surpasses that of alloy 310, its resistance to corrosion is equivalent to that of alloy 310. Alloy 309 is highly weldable and cold formable, although it does require stronger forming machines and continuously increasing pressure. Typical machining methods are used for stainless steel grade 309, but it is tougher and does tend to harden more quickly. Like 310 Stainless Steel, 309S Stainless Steel has a high chromium and nickel content which grants excellent resistance to aqueous corrosion.

Super alloy steels 

Superalloys are simply defined as "alloys developed for elevated temperature service, usually based on group VIIA elements, where relatively severe mechanical stressing is encountered and high surface stability is frequently required". Three classes of alloys have appeared: cobalt-base, nickel-base, and iron-base to meet this definition.

Superalloys: Monel 400, Monel K-500/K500, Waspaloy, L605 (HS 25), Haynes 188, Haynes 230, Haynes 263, HYMU 80/ HY MU 80

1) Monel 400

Monel is resistant to corrosion and acids, and some alloys can withstand a fire in pure oxygen. It is commonly used in applications with highly corrosive conditions. The good resistance against corrosion by acids and oxygen makes monel a good material for the chemical industry.

Hastelloy is a superalloy known for its resistance to high temperatures and stress in severely corrosive environments. Forged primarily from nickel, some types of Hastelloy alloys are common in nuclear reactors, chemical reactors and pipes & valves in chemical installations. Hastelloy X is also used for components such as combustion chambers, tail pipes in aircraft and land-based gas turbine engines.

Beryllium Copper: ASTM B194, B196, B197, B534
Copper beryllium alloys are used for their high strength and good electrical and thermal conductivities. There are two groups of copper beryllium alloys, high strength alloys and high conductivity alloys. Beryllium-copper alloys have desirable properties facilitating their use in a variety of demanding applications. The high-strength alloys (C17200 and C17000) are less dense (.298 lbs./cu. in.) than conventional specialty coppers. This often results in a yield of up to 7 percent more feet per pound than high-strength phosphor bronze. The high-conductivity beryllium-copper alloys (C17500 C17510 and C17410) are ideally suited to applications requiring high operating temperatures, or high strength and conductivity.

C17200 Beryllium Copper: ASTM B196, AMS 4533
Most commonly utilized beryllium copper alloy and is notable for exhibiting the highest strength and hardness compared to commercial copper alloys. Its strength and hardness is similar to that of steel. C17200 ultimate tensile and Rockwell hardness properties in a peak aged condition are in the 200 ksi range and RC 45 respectively (electrical conductivity 22% IACS minimum).

C175 - C17500 Beryllium Copper: ASTM B441, ASTM B534
C17500/C17510 offer a combination of high electrical and thermal conductivity with good strength compared to most copper based alloys. C17500 alloy is the mirror image of alloy C17510 in terms of its properties and characteristics. The alloys differ in that C17500 specifies a cobalt alloying addition (2.40-2.70%) and alloy 17510 specifies a nickel alloying addition (1.40-2.20%), but their performance are the

316L stainless steel sanitary tubing is subjected to extensive reverse bend, reverse flattening, flange, and eddy current testing. After successfully completing testing, tubes are sealed with air tight end caps and individually packaged in high quality poly sleeves. Tubes are then packaged in heavy-duty tri-wall boxing.
