Applications

 

1. Ceramic pigment

This product is applied to prepare various zirconium-based pigments used on glaze and porcelain body, including zirconium-praseodymium yellow, zirconium-vanadium blue, zirconium-iron red, zirconium-vanadium yellow, etc. High purity fused zirconia we produce is of fine quality, promising remarkable chromophoric effects as follows:

1) Brilliant color effect, with brightness and chroma better than similar products, it rivals chemical zirconium.

2) Wide sintering temperature range, it promises stable and fadeless color appearance at high temperature.

3) Broad application range, it shows excellent color appearance for zirconium-iron red which can not be well produced by traditional fused zirconia.

2. Refractory materials

Adding zirconia into refractory materials like corundum bricks, high alumina bricks, magnesia bricks, etc. Can greatly strengthen their resistance to chemical attack, high temperature property, and evidently upgrade thermal shock resistance. As a new high grade refractory material, fused zirconia is widely applied into metallurgy, chemical, and electronics industry, like sizing nozzle, sliding plate, submerged nozzle, high-temperature nozzle and crucible, etc.

3. Abrasive substance

Mixture of alumina and zirconia can be produced into coarse grinding particles used on the surface of lapping wheel for grinding and buffing steel and metallic alloy.

4. Special ceramics

With excellent physicochemical characteristics, such as high strength, high temperature resistance, and corrosion resistance, zirconia can be widely into electronic ceramics, functional ceramics, structural ceramics and many other special ceramic fields.
