SAE J526 Welded Low Carbon Steel Tubing for Auto Refrigeration, Hydraulic

 

 

Application:covers welded single-wall low-carbon steel tubing intended for generalautomotive, refrigeration, hydraulic, and other similar applications requiring tubing of a quality suitable forbending, flaring, beading, forming, and brazing.

 

size:length--2~12m WT--2~4.5mm OD--16~50mm

 

Manufacture:The tubing shall be made from a single strip of steel shaped into a tubular form, the edges ofwhich are joined and sealed by a suitable welding process. After welding, the bead shall be removed from theoutside to provide a smooth round surface and the tubing shall be processed in such a manner as to producea finished product which will meet all requirements of this document. Typically this type of tubing is availablein both coiled and straight condition. Straightness requirements should be agreed upon between supplier andpurchaser.

 

Surface Quality:The internal and external surfaces of the steel tube are not allowed to have cracks, scabs, folds, delaminations, laps, and burns. Allows for scribes, scratches, misalignment of welds, burns, oxide scales, and external burr removal traces that are not more than a negative wall thickness deviation
