Product Details

On grid 1kw solar generation power system Residential Solar Power Systems

Description:

Grid Tied System

PV Array:

Sunlight passes through the silicone wafers in the PV modules knocking loose electrons which flow into

wires as Direct Current(DC) electricity.

Combiner Box:

The PV modules are wired together in a combiner box to output the correct system voltage( VDC )

DC Disconnect:

System shut-off with circuit breakers and ground fault protection. Required by code to ensure that all parts

of system can be disconnected from all sources of power.

AC Mains Panel and Meter:

Your grid power consumption and the power production from your PV array are metered here. Net matering

means you only pay the difference between what you use and what you produce.

AC Disconnect ( Utlity Accessible ):

AC output from your inverter and AC power from the grid are combined here with circuit breakers.

Inverter:

Direct Current ( DC) electricity from the PV Array is converted to Altemating Current ( AC) electricity to

supply the house loads and sell energy back to the grid.

Work with Your Installer and Utility

If you decide to install a solar energy system, your installer should be able to help you complete the

necessary permitting and steps.

Your installer will determine the appropriate size for your system. The size will be based on your electricity

needs (determined in step 4) as well as the following:

The site's solar resource or available sunlight

The system's orientation and tilt

The system's efficiency at converting sunlight to electricity

Other electricity sources, like a utility, a wind turbine, or a fossil fuel generator.

Your installer will also ensure that all equipment is installed correctly and oriented and tilted in such a way

to maximize the daily and seasonal solar energy received and produced by your system.

Be sure you understand how billing and net metering will work, as well as any additional utility fees you will

need to pay.
