The Product Description:
Perforated aluminum has a strong resistance to corrosion due to an
oxide skin formed in reaction with the atmosphere. It is a
relatively light metal compared to metals such as steel, nickel,
brass, and copper and is rather malleable. It can have a wide
variety of surface finishes and is highly reflective to heat and
light.
Aluminum Perforated Metal is made of high quality aluminum
sheet/coil after being perforated on the digital control perforated
machines. Aluminum perforated metal has the features of good
strength-to-weight ratio, wide range of open area percentages,
accurate hole size, available in corrosion resistant materials,
available in lightweight material and suitable for decorative
applications.
Next to steel, Aluminum is the most commonly used and commercially
available metal. Its light weight and high strength-to-weight ratio
make it a good choice for everything from aircraft to flashlights
to jigs to just about anything else you can make out of metal.
Pure aluminum, primarily seen in the 1xxx series of wrought
aluminum alloys, has little strength, but possesses high electrical
conductivity, reflectivity, and corrosion resistance. For this
reason, a wide variety of aluminum alloys have been developed.
5052 Aluminum alloy:
5052 is the alloy most suited to forming operations, with good
workability and higher strength than that of the 1100 or 3003
alloys that are commercially available.
5052 is not heat-treatable, but is stronger than most of the 5xxx
series of alloys. It has very good corrosion resistance, and can be
easily welded. 5052 is not a good choice for extensive machining
operations, as it has only a fair machinability rating.

4. Slotted Perforations: Side staggered, end staggered, or straight
lines.
5. Slotted perforations will be round end slots; specify if square
end slots are required.
6. Other Perforations: Available upon request.
