Calibrated High Quality Steel IEC60061-3 Go and Not Go Gauges for Simple Pass Test or Not Pass Test of E27 Lampholder

Introduction:

Lamp cap and lampholder go no go gauges are designed according to IEC60061-3:2004, they are applied to quality test of E27 lamp holder. The structure and waveform are calculated by PC to reach high precision, and the appearance looks nice. The material is applied alloy steel. All the products equip with third-lab certificate authorized by CNAS.

1)"Go" Gauge for Lampholders E27 (7006-25A-2)

Purpose: To check:

a) The minimum dimensions of the lampholder screw thread according to sheets 7004-21 and 7004-27.

b) Dimension X according to sheet 7005-20.

c) The mechanical compatibility of the lampholder with respect to lamps having adverse dimensions.

Testing: It shall be possible to screw the threaded part of the gauge into the lampholder without using undue force (for the torque to be applied see Publication 238, Sub-clause 4.4).

When the gauge has been screwed in as far as it will go, mark Y on the plunger shall be co-planar with mark A on the shaft.

The sleeve is then placed over the shaft of the gauge with its open end resting on the top edge of the screw shell of the holder. With the sleeve in this position, the plunger is pushed down as far as it will go.

Surface B of the gauge shall then lie between the marks X1 and X2 on the plunger or be co-planar with either of them; it shall not lie beyond them.

2)“Not Go” Gauges for Screw threads of lampholders E27 (7006-26-4)

Purpose: to check the maximum minor diameter of the screw thread, dimension D2 of lampholder E27.

Testing: the screw thread of the lampholder shall be assumed to be correct if the gauge does not enter by its own weight so far that the thread protrudes beyond surface T.

3)Gauge for testing protection against bulb-neck damage and for testing contact-making in lampholders E27 (7006-21-5)

Purpose: To check:

a) Protection against bulb-neck damage by the rim of the E27 lampholder.

b) Contact-making in E27 lampholders with respect to lamps having dimensions adverse to contact-making.

Testing:

a) When the gauge is screwed fully home with a torque of:

- 1.0Nm2 for ceramic holders

- 0.4 Nm2 for all other holders

b) In this position, and with the lampholder connected in the test circuit as shown, the indicator lamp shall light.

4)Gauge for Testing contact-making and protection against accidental contact during insertion of lamps in lampholders E27 (7006-22A-4)

Purpose:To check E27 lampholder in respect of:

a) Contact-making with lamps having adverse dimension.

b) Protection against accidental contact with live parts, viz. The cap shell, during insertion of a lamp.

Testing: The holder is connected in the test circuit as shown.

a) With switch A in position 2 and switch B open, the gauge is screwed fully home. In this position, both lamps shall light.

b) After the test of a) above, the gauge is withdrawn until the lamps are extinguished. Switch A is moved to position I and switch B is closed. The gauge is then screwed in slowly until either of the lamps lights. With the gauge held in this position, switch B is opened and the test probe at the side of the gauge is slid downwards as far as it will go into the space between the gauge and the holder. In this position the lamps shall not light.

5)Gauge for detecting side-contacts with ctting-edges in lampholders E27 (7006-22B-1)

Purpose: To detect the existence of cutting-edges on side-contacts in E27 lampholders.

Testing: The gauge is screwed home in the lampholder as far as it will go. The combination is then placed with the plunger of the gauge in a horizontal position and the plunger-face is held against the holder contacts.

In this position it shall be possible to rotate the plunger in a clockwise and an anti-clockwise direction for at least an angle of 60° in both directions.

After this test the combination is placed with the plunger in a vertical position and the plunger-face is pressed against the holder contacts with a total force of 10N.

In this position it shall be possible to rotate the plunger in a clockwise and an anti-clockwise direction for at least an angle of 60° in both directions.

The lampholder complies if the torque applied for both tests does not exceed 0.4Nm.

6)Gauge I for checking side contact resiliency in lampholders E27 (7006-22C-1)

Purpose: To check the minimum side contact resiliency of E27 lampholders.

Testing: The side contact(s) of the lampholder shall be electrically connected with the gauge as shown in the test-circuit.

With the central rod in upper position, the gauge is screwed in the lampholder without using undue force. The gauge is fixed by screwing down the nut until the play between holder and gauge has been removed. The central rod is then screwed down with a torque of 0.4Nm. Under these conditions the indicator lamp shall light. The central rod shall then be screwed back until its mark has passed 10 scale parts (=0.2mm). In this position the indicator lamp shall still light.

7)Gauge II for checking side contact resiliency in lampholders E27 (7006-22D-1)

Purpose: To check the minimum side contact resiliency of E27 lampholders.

Testing: The side contact(s) of the lampholder shall be electrically connected with the gauge as shown in the test-circuit.

The gauge is screwed in the lampholder with a torque of 1Nm. In this position the indicator lamp shall light. The test shall be carried out after the test with the gauge for testing contact-making shown on sheet 7006-21.

Relative Gauges:
