Acrylic sheets has a higher impact resistant than glass, but it still has similar impact strength. The lightweight of acrylic is also another great benefit. You’re able to use an acrylic sheet that is twice the thickness but still weighing about half the weight of a conventional glass sheet.
Acrylic sheets have outstanding resistance to long-term exposure to sunlight and weathering. Acrylic has excellent optical properties and is more resistant to impact than glass. In addition, acrylic has low water absorption, good electrical resistivity, and fair tensile strength.
