1. Information of Mo electrode for industrial glass production furnace:

 

Molybdenum electrode has good high temperature performance, and has strong corrosion resistance in molten glass, and the reaction product of molybdenum and glass solution is also colorless, which will not cause adverse effects on glass products, so molybdenum electrode often replaces Expensive platinum electrodes are used in kilns for the production of industrial glass. At present, many manufacturers of flat glass have used molybdenum electrodes as auxiliary heaters to improve the quality of glass and increase production. In addition, some factories that produce bottle glass, light bulb glass, float flat glass, and vacuum flasks also use molybdenum electrodes as heaters for melting glass. Most glass furnaces use melting glass clamp pots equipped with molybdenum electrode heating elements, which can not only improve the quality of glass, but also prolong the service life of glass furnaces, making it possible for large-scale production of industrial glass.

 

2. Performance requirements of Mo electrode for industrial glass production furnace:

 

The use of molybdenum electrodes in the production of industrial glass has the following requirements:


1). The density requirement is higher than 9.8g/cm2;
2). The surface of the product is smooth and dense, without obvious pits or pits;
3). The hardness of the electrode is about HRA50, which is easy to machine;
4). It can work in the glass liquid at 1300℃ for a long time, and has a long service life;
5). There will be no smoke when the temperature rises.

3.Production process of Mo electrode for industrial glass production furnace:


1). Heating and roasting ammonium molybdate into molybdenum trioxide.
2). Molybdenum trioxide is reduced to molybdenum powder by passing hydrogen and heating.
3). Put the molybdenum powder into an oil-resistant rubber mold and seal it, and then mold it into a molybdenum sintered billet with a certain density in a Ø820×1600mm isostatic pressing equipment under a pressure of 200~300MPa.
4). The molybdenum powder blank is sintered at high temperature in an intermediate frequency induction furnace protected by hydrogen to form a close-to-dense molybdenum sintered blank.
5). The sintered blank is hot forged and warm forged under the protection of hydrogen to form a molybdenum electrode blank.
6). Finally, it becomes a molybdenum electrode by machining.
