Production Of Molybdenum Electrode Heating Elements For Insulation Cotton Industrial Electric Furnaces

1. Description Of Molybdenum Electrode Heating Elements :

Insulation cotton is formed by melting high-purity clay clinker, alumina powder, silica powder, chrome sand and other raw materials in an industrial electric furnace at high temperature to form a fluid. Then use compressed air to spray or use a spinning machine to spin the silk into fibers, and collect the cotton through the cotton collector to form thermal insulation cotton.

In industrial electric furnaces, molybdenum electrodes are often used as heating elements. Because molybdenum has good high temperature performance, corrosion resistance and good electrical and thermal conductivity. Therefore, it is often used in the production of thermal insulation cotton in industrial electric furnaces. In addition to being used in industrial electric furnaces, molybdenum electrodes can also be used in glass furnaces for melting glass. The performance of molybdenum electrodes will affect the quality of products to a large extent. High-density and high-purity electrodes are not only beneficial to the production of products, but also beneficial to prolong the service life of electrodes and furnaces.

2. Size Of Molybdenum Electrode Heating Elements For Industrial Electric Furnaces:

Common diameter is 50~100mm, also can process as per customer's drawing.

Standard: ASTM B387

3. Product introduction of Molybdenum Electrode Heating Elements For Industrial Electric Furnaces:

1). Structure

Molybdenum electrodes are typically fully recrystallized to refine grains and increase density, and are also available in a stress-relieved state upon request.

2). Dimensional tolerance

The maximum deviation in straightness is 2.5mm per meter, the diameter is typically ±0.1mm and the length tolerance is ±2.0mm. No special requirements, tolerances will be performed in accordance with standard ISO2768-m.

3). Purity

Molybdenum electrodes for glass melting are at least 99.95% pure to reduce glass discoloration and have high resistance to degradation and chemical corrosion.

4). Surface condition

The molybdenum electrode surface may be as forged, or machined with a surface of 3.2 microns or higher. Small surface defects are removed by trimming as much as possible without compromising dimensional tolerances.

5). Thread

Generally, both ends of the electrode have an inner thread and an outer thread respectively. Thread standard can be based on international ISO metric common thread, Chinese GB, German DIN or American ASME standard, mainly according to customer requirements.
