1. Description of WZ8 Electrode Zirconium Tungsten Electrode:
An electrode type called zirconium tungsten electrode was created
to address the drawback of pure tungsten electrode, which is prone
to melting and contamination of the workpiece when used in
high-load welding. It is spherical to reduce tungsten penetration
and has good corrosion resistance.
Zirconium tungsten electrodes contain a small amount of zirconium
oxide (ZrO2). Zirconium tungsten electrodes often fall between pure
tungsten electrodes and thoriated tungsten electrodes in terms of
their welding properties. In AC welding, zirconium tungsten
electrodes are the most commonly used, because they are easier to
start arc than pure tungsten, and the arc beam is stable, and it
can also prevent pollution very well, and the current carrying
capacity is also good. The best non-radioactive tungsten electrode,
in general, is zirconium tungsten electrode from the perspective of
performance.

3. Features of WZ8 Electrode Zirconium Tungsten Electrode:
Like pure tungsten electrodes, zirconium tungsten electrodes
can only be welded in an alternating current environment. zirconium
Tungsten electrode has good welding performance in
alternating current environment. Especially in the case of high
load current, the superior performance of zirconium
tungsten electrodes is irreplaceable by other
electrodes.
During welding, the end of the zirconium tungsten electrode
can be kept in a spherical shape to reduce the phenomenon of
tungsten infiltration, and has good corrosion resistance. Due to

for zirconium tungsten electrodes will tend to decrease.

contamination. For alternating current, zirconium tungsten
electrodes are typically used; direct current is not advised.
Magnesium-aluminum and its alloys are welded using arc current
using zirconium tungsten electrodes.

between pure tungsten electrode and thoriated tungsten electrode.
It is a tungsten electrode product developed to improve the
disadvantage that pure tungsten electrode is easy to melt and
pollute the workpiece under high load welding conditions.
