Three links also known as pipe fittings three-way or three-way pipe

1. Hydraulic expansion
Hydraulic expansion of three-way is a forming process of expanding
branch pipe by axial compensation of metal material. The process is
to use a special hydraulic press to inject liquid into the tube
billet equal to the diameter of the three links, and to squeeze the
tube billet synchronously through the two horizontal side cylinders
of the hydraulic press. The liquid in the tube billet increases
with the volume of the tube billet.
The hydraulic expansion process of the three-way can be formed at
one time, and the production efficiency is high, and the wall
thickness of the supervisor and shoulder of the three-way is
increased.
Because of the large tonnage of the hydraulic expansion process of
seamless three links, it is mainly used in the manufacture of
standard wall thickness three links less than DN400. The suitable
forming materials are low carbon steel, low alloy steel, stainless
steel, including some non-ferrous metal materials, such as copper,
aluminum, titanium and so on.
2. hot pressing
The three-way hot pressing forming is to flatten the tube billet
larger than the three-way diameter to the size of the three-way
diameter. The tube billet is heated and put into the forming die.
Under the action of pressure, the tube billet is compressed
radially, and the metal flows in the direction of branch pipe and
forms branch pipe under the drawing of punching die. The whole
process is formed by the radial compression of the tube billet and
the tensile process of the branch pipe. Unlike the hydraulic
bulging three-way, the metal of the hot-pressed three-way branch
pipe is compensated by the radial motion of the tube billet, so it
is also called the radial compensation process.
Due to the use of heating to press the three-way, the material
forming equipment tonnage is reduced. The hot-pressing tee has a
wide adaptability to the material, which is suitable for low carbon
steel, alloy steel and stainless steel, especially for large
diameter and thick pipe wall.
