SQ-103 Waterproof Paint for Basement/Washroom
I Application:
It is suitable for engineering waterproofing of underground

unexposed roofs.

Construction Method for Waterproofing of Basement/Washroom
I Application and Characteristic:
1. This method is suitable for engineering waterproofing of
underground (building basement, underground garage, open-cut subway
and channels, etc.), washroom, pool, balcony, parking lots, as well
as unexposed roofs. Important waterproof parts in tunnels, various
impounding reservoirs, swimming pools and cooling pools, washroom,
bathroom, kitchen and the like are constructed with paint film
waterproofing by organic silicon rubber waterproof paint polymers.
2. Characteristics:
Organic silicon rubber waterproof paint is characterized in long
service life, long elongation, better low and high temperature
resistance, excellent performance, extremely strong adhesion to
base, and better mixing effect with portland cement. It is
nontoxic, odorless, safe and convenient in cold construction, and
is the top choice for underground and indoor waterproofing.
Non-matrix waterproof paint film (with large elongation) and matrix
waterproof paint film (with large tension strength) can fully make
up defects of high leakage of coiled materials owing to lap joint
and large difficulty in construction of details.
Construction is simple and convenient.
III Key Points:
Clear site: Clear dust and impurities on waterproof parts away by
the methods of sweeping, blast air purging or high-pressure water
flushing.
Treat base: Repair empty drums, peeling, sand holes and checking
parts of base.
Treat details: Make the additional layer by the method of one
pavement and two coating on the parts of wall-threading pipes,
female and male corners, deformation joints, floor drain hole,
vanity tops, and toilets.
Brush base primer: Firmly adhere to the base by contact
penetration.
Uniformly mix special organic silicon rubber painting and portland
cement (with strength no lower than 32.5 grade) for 5 minutes or
more with a handheld mixer in proportion by weight of water: paint:
cement of 1:2:3, then brush it on the base uniformly with a
scraping plate or wide plate, ensuring the thickness to reach the
designed requirements or requirements of customers.
Whether to pave the matrix cloth can be determined by the design or
customer demands. When in pavement, it should be flat and full
without folds and exposure of base, the lap joint width should be
bigger than 100mm, the lap side width should be larger than 70mm.
Should brush paint while paving, keeping the work uniform.
Construct organic silicon rubber paint film: By manual brushing or
mechanical spraying, brush the paint several times thinly to make
the paint film fit to design requirements or requirement stipulated
in the contract, make thickness of paint film each time consistent,
and brush the second paint film after touch dry of the first paint
film.
IV Requirements on Quality of Organic Silicon Rubber Waterproof
Paint Film
Should ensure the waterproof paint film is flat, without exposure
and falling.
Should ensure the thickness is uniform, the minimum thickness is
not smaller than 80% of designed thickness.
No leakage after 12h-24h closed water test.

Waterproofing
No water on the base.
Should uniformly mix the waterproof paint before use.
Cover the paint to be used or the rest hermetically, so as to avoid
firming films.
It had better construct between 5 DEG C and 35 DEG C.
Should abide by the related safety regulations.
VI Construction Solution: Blade coating one time and brushing three
times.
