CQC mark certification is a voluntary product certification business carried out by China Quality Certification Center

CQC certification is a domestic voluntary certification, and CCC certification is a national compulsory certification. Generally, the product scope controlled by CCC certification does not overlap with the product scope of CQC, that is, products that require CCC certification cannot be certified by CQC, and vice versa. Many products that are not in the CCC certification catalog can be certified by CQC.

Any product listed in the 3C certified product catalog that has not been certified by a 3C certification agency and is sold privately in China is illegal and will bear corresponding administrative penalties and legal risks.

The necessity of CCC certification
1. 3C certification is a compulsory certification and is a passport to enter the Chinese market; CCC is a compulsory certification in China. If you sell in China, it mainly depends on whether your company's products are in the 3C compulsory catalog. If so, you must get 3C certification. Frequency of post-certification supervision (annual review): Generally once a year, for toys category it is once every six months.

3. Product testing fee: Different products and testing standards are different, and specific evaluation is required based on the product;
4. Factory inspection fee: It is charged at the standard of 2,500 yuan/person/day. Factories with less than 100 employees will dispatch 2 supervisory auditors, and factories with more than 100 employees will dispatch 3 or more supervisory auditors. This link also involves round-trip transportation expenses, food and accommodation expenses, etc.
5. Agency service fee: When an agency handles 3C certification, it will generally charge a certain agency service fee. Agency services include: certification application, data compilation and submission, progress follow-up, factory audit guidance, assistance with system document production, factory inspection follow-up cooperation, abnormal feedback and resolution, follow-up reports and other services.

Certification processing cycle
The 3C certification processing cycle generally takes about 2 months.

Certificate validity period
The 3C certification certificate is valid for five years. During the five-year certificate validity period, as long as the manufacturer accepts annual factory inspections (annual audits) every year.

3C derived
3C derivation is to meet the needs of manufacturers' dealers or partners for independent 3C certificates. The cost of deriving a secondary certificate is relatively low, and the processing time only takes 2-3 weeks. The cost is also greatly saved, and there is no need to re-test and factory inspection.
Note: The factory information on the certificate cannot be changed, the primary certificate is suspended or canceled, and the secondary certificate will also become invalid.

Apply for 3C certification for imported products
If the product goods are in the 3C certification catalog and are used for commercial purposes such as sales or profit-making activities, 3C certification is required. Those used for civil purposes, such as scientific research, exhibitions, teaching, samples, etc. can apply for exemption from 3C certification.
Since 3C certification requires factory inspection, the cost of applying for 3C certification for imported products from abroad will be much higher.
