In order to be consistent with international standards for detection methods of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products, smooth the industrial chain supply chain, and facilitate service trade, on January 22, 2024, the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China issued Announcement No. 3 of 2024 "National Certification and Accreditation Administration on Adjustments to Electrical and Electronic Products" "Announcement on Applicable Standards for Testing Methods of Conformity Assessment System for Restricted Use of Hazardous Substances in Products", it was decided to adopt the standard for testing methods of the conformity assessment system for restricted use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products from GB/T 26125 "Six Restricted Substances in Electronic and Electrical Products (Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls and polybrominated diphenyl ethers) were adjusted to GB/T 39560.1, GB/T 39560.2, GB/T 39560.301, GB/T 39560.4, GB/T 39560.5, GB/T 39560.6, GB /T 39560.701 and GB/T 39560.702 are a total of 8 series standards for the determination of certain substances in electronic and electrical products (hereinafter referred to as the GB/T 39560 series of standards). The relevant requirements are now announced as follows:

1. Starting from March 1, 2024, the testing methods for conducting conformity assessment activities on the restricted use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products shall be implemented in accordance with the GB/T 39560 series of standards.

2. Before March 1, 2024, if the conformity assessment is completed in accordance with GB/T26125, the standard conversion will be completed through natural transition methods such as expiration of certificate renewal and product changes.

3. Products that have been shipped or imported before March 1, 2024 do not need to undergo standard conversion.

Enterprises should make risk estimates in advance, pay attention to regulatory developments, and control product compliance in a timely manner.

Wi-Fi CERTIFIED is an internationally recognized product certification standard, indicating that products have reached industry-recognized standards in terms of interoperability, security, and a series of application-specific protocols. Wi-Fi CERTIFIED products have been rigorously tested at one of our independent authorized testing laboratories. When a product successfully passes the test, the manufacturer or distributor is authorized to use the Wi-Fi CERTIFIED mark. Certification means that a product has been tested with other devices in various configurations, and the devices used for testing need to be extracted in different ways to verify that the product is compatible with other Wi-Fi CERTIFIED devices operating in the same frequency band. There is interoperability between them.

A wide range of consumer, enterprise and carrier-specific products can be certified, including smartphones, appliances, computers and peripherals, network infrastructure and consumer electronics. At the retail end, the Wi-Fi CERTIFIED mark gives consumers confidence in the product, ensuring that the product can provide a good user experience and comply with industry standards. Service providers and enterprise IT managers specify that products must have Wi-Fi CERTIFIED to reduce support costs and ensure that products meet industry-accepted requirements. Only companies that become members of the Wi-Fi Alliance can conduct product certification testing and use the Wi-Fi CERTIFIED logo and related trademarks.
