Certification Introduction:

ROHS is a mandatory standard established by EU legislation. Its full name is "Restriction of Hazardous Substances" (Restriction of Hazardous Substances). It is mainly used to regulate the materials and materials of electronic and electrical products. process standards to make it more beneficial to human health and environmental protection. Battery products entering European products require ROHS certification.

Applicable Products
Electronic Product Category Detailed Examples of Various Electronic Products
Portable office products laptops, PDAs, etc.
Mobile communication products: mobile phones, cordless phones, Bluetooth headsets, walkie-talkies, etc.
Portable audio and video products: portable TVs, portable players, cameras, camcorders, etc.
Other portable products: electronic navigators, digital photo frames, game consoles, e-books, etc.

The portable electronic products listed above do not include all products, so products not listed are not necessarily outside the scope of this standard.
·Wearable devices: The lithium-ion batteries and battery packs used need to meet standard requirements.

Battery ROHS detection method
1. Chemical testing;
Chemical detection follows each homogeneous sampling, pre-treatment, digestion and testing, and the data is accurate

2.XRF scan total Pb, Cd, Hg, Cr, BR;

XRF scanning uses an XRF scanner to abstractly define the sample material and determine whether it contains five elements. If the sample composition is uneven, it will be invalid;

3. Chemical detection + XRF scanning;

For the ROHS testing of customer's finished products, multiple homogeneous tests are split. In order to save costs, XRF scanning is first used to determine whether elements are contained. If the data is available, the chemical testing process is followed.
4.ROHS report integration;
When the customer can provide the ROHS report of each homogeneous material in the finished product, it can be integrated into the finished product ROHS report; 5. ROHS certificate;
Each homogeneous material of the product complies with ROHS standards and can be issued a ROHS certificate.
6.ROHS logo
Incorporate ROHS compliance of electronic and electrical equipment into CE marking requirements.
But at present, it is usually directly labeled with ROHS.

Battery ROHS certification process
1. Fill in the service application form;
2. Sign the contract and make payment:
3. Send samples;
3. Sample testing;
4. Issue a report.

In March 2013, the European Electrotechnical Standardization Committee CENELEC officially released the battery safety standard EN 62133: 2013 version. This standard mainly targets the safety requirements for single batteries and battery packs containing alkaline or non-acidic electrolytes and portable sealed single batteries and battery packs. The new standard will replace the first version of EN62133: 2003 released in 2003. At the same time, the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization also specified the expiration date of the old version of the EN 62133 standard. As required, the 2003 version of EN 62133 will be officially withdrawn on January 10, 2016. Micro-testing reminds major battery manufacturers and battery product manufacturers to introduce the new version of EN 62133: 2013 as soon as possible to avoid being affected by future exports of battery products to Europe.

Electrical products entering the EU (such as mobile phones, tablets, electric toys, power tools, etc.) need to meet the requirements of the EU's new method directive and be affixed with the CE mark. As an accessory for many end products (such as mobile phones, electric toys, tablet computers, etc.), the safety of batteries needs to be considered in conjunction with these end products. Therefore, many end product customers require their parts to be of the highest quality out of consideration for the safety of their own products. It is best to affix the CE mark so that its products can better meet the requirements of relevant directives.
Therefore, if the battery products of exporting companies can meet the requirements of the EN62133 standard and bear the CE mark, it will enhance the competitiveness of their products in the market and strive for a larger market for the company.
