Nd:YAG laser tattoo removal is a type of laser treatment that uses a specific wavelength of light to break down the ink particles in a tattoo. Working Theory

delivered using long pulses which are converted into heat in the
tissue. The heat impacts the vasculature of the lesions. In
addition, the Nd:YAG Laser can treat at a more superficial level;
by heating the subcutaneous skin (in a non-ablative manner)
it stimulates neocollagenesis which improves the appearance of
facial wrinkles.
In addition to the Q-switched Nd:YAG laser, other types of lasers that can be used for tattoo removal include the Alexandrite laser and the Ruby laser. However, the Q-switched Nd:YAG laser is the most commonly used due to its effectiveness and versatility.
