Introduction:

The random vibration test of the shaker (GB/ t2423.56-2006) is excited by a random input signal that includes all frequency components within the specified frequency range (broadband) at all times.Its instantaneous value obeys normal (gaussian) distribution.The distribution in the frequency range is represented by the acceleration spectral density (ASD) curve.

Random vibration is the most common type of excitation occurring in the real world.Its future instantaneous value cannot be predicted by its past state, but can only be predicted based on probability.In fact, these characteristics are applicable to most calculations related to random vibration, such as fatigue and alternating stress.

Unlike the sinusoidal test, the random vibration of the test bed is always excited and resonant in the duration, although it cannot reach the maximum value.Most of the random signals in the laboratory have a 3 times RMS, which means that the instantaneous value of excitation within the test frequency range can be extended from zero to 3 times the total RMS (R.M.S.).The larger difference to be taken into account for the random excitation is that there will be a large number of stress alternations, both positive and negative, between the crossing points.This property will affect fatigue damage and thus the expected life of failure.

No matter sinusoidal vibration or random vibration, only with a better understanding of the product's production, transportation, use environment and the properties and characteristics of the test equipment, can we more properly choose our own appropriate vibration mode, so as to screen high-quality products and improve the performance of defective products.
