Spark plug is an important component of the ignition system of gasoline engine. It can introduce high voltage into the combustion chamber and make it skip the electrode gap to generate spark, which ignites the combustible mixture in the cylinder. It is mainly composed of a wiring nut, an insulator, a wiring screw, a central electrode, a side electrode and a shell, and the side electrode is welded on the shell.

Spark plug, commonly known as the fire nozzle, it is the role of the high voltage wire (fire nozzle line) sent by the pulse high voltage discharge, breakdown the spark plug between the two electrodes of the air, to generate electrical spark to ignite the cylinder in the gas mixture. The main types are: quasi-type spark plug, edge body protruding spark plug, electrode type spark plug, seat type spark plug, pole type spark plug, surface spark plug, etc.
The spark plug is mounted on the side or top of the engine. In the early days, the spark plug was connected to the distributor by the cylinder line. In the last decade or so, the engine in the small car has been basically changed to the ignition coil and the spark plug directly connected. The spark plug operates at a voltage of at least 10,000 v. The high-voltage voltage is generated by 12V electricity through the ignition coil and then transmitted to the spark plug.
