BW & BH series that can protect against over-current and over-temperature are sealed firmly, small internal resistance, no noise and reset automatically. When current through bimetal that are sensitive to temperature and current, the status of the bimetal will be changed by over-temperature or over-current to cut off circuit or switch on circuit. BH series are safer than normal protectors, as there is no temperature effect lag under condition of sudden big current.

The thermal protection switch is normally located on the A/C
compressor housings. It
is used to prevent compressor damage (overheat) through internal
friction.
This switch senses the compressor case temperature and once this
case
temperature reaches a predetermined figure the electrical circuit
to the compressor
clutch is interrupted.
As the thermal protection switch is connected in series with the
compressor clutch
once the compressor case temperature lowers to a predetermined
figure the
compressor clutch is then re-energized.
