Brief Details

Ethylene glycol (IUPAC name:ethane-1,2-diol) is an organic compound widely used as an automotive antifreeze and a precursor to polymers. In its pure form, it is an odorless, colorless, syrupy, sweet-tasting liquid. Ethylene glycol is toxic, and ingestion can result in death.

The product is a light yellow crystal, with fine anti high-temperature-oxidation property.

Application

 

Mainly used in the preparation of polyester, polyester resin, hygroscopic agent, plasticizer, surfactant, synthetic fiber, cosmetic and explosive. Also used as dye/ink solvent, engine antifreeze and gas dehydrating agent.
Mainly used in the production of synthetic resin PET, fiber grade PET, bottle flake grade PET for mineral water bottle, alkyd resin, surfactant, glyoxal and explosive. Also used as antifreeze.

 

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE

 

The recommended dosage is from 0.5% to 3.0%.
