Description of Centrifugal fans
Centrifugal fans from ebm-papst are available with forward or backward curved blades. The outstanding feature of the external rotor motors is their compact, flat design, which results from integrating the external rotor motor into the impeller. "Blowers" refers to devices with scroll housing, while centrifugal fans are shipped without scrolls.

Outstanding features of ebm-papst centrifugal fans with forward-curved blades include their very low noise level and high power density. They are used wherever a large air volume has to be moved in a tight space. Depending on aerodynamic and geometric requirements, the impellers are arranged in single-inlet or dual-inlet configurations. For optimum efficiency, in addition to voltage-controlled asynchronous motors, particularly efficient GreenTech EC motors are used. Both drive types are available over the entire power range.

When the fan is used with filter module LCL-6R12 ensure thatthe capacitor of the fan does not connect phase busbars ofthe cabinet. In certain cabinet contsruction there is a riskof short circuit.In this case the capacitor must be mounted on the other sideof the fan housing.
