Alnico Permanent Magnets is high-energy permanent magnet, which posses high fluxdensity, high coercive, high energy product and extreme stability for temperature changes. It exhibits good resistance to demagnetization, stability in high temperatures and excellent conduction.

Features

Alnico Permanent Magnets : An ideal material in high temperature applications, which has high operating temperature up to 550°C and above, with excellent corrosion resistance. They can become partially demagnetized if they come in contact with other ferrous materials, special care is required during handling and storing.
Usually cast and grinded during production, they are available in various grades depending on its application. Others such as sintered Alnico have lower magnetic properties but offer higher mechanical characteristics.

Applications

Alnico teaching magnets are widely used in industrial and consumer applications where strong permanent magnets are needed; examples are electric motors, electric guitar pickups, microphones, sensors, loudspeakers, traveling-wave tubes, and cow magnets. In many applications they are being superseded by rare earth magnets, whose stronger fields (Br) and larger energy products (BHmax) allow smaller size magnets to be used for a given application.
