Product Description:

Induction melting describes the process that melts metal into liquid in an induction furnace for casting workpieces.

The induction melting furnace is based on the electromagnetic induction heating principle to work. Through electromagnetic induction, it generates heat quickly. Unlike regular heating equipment that heats by container, the induction melting furnace is designed for direct induction heating of material. With an intermediate frequency induction melting furnace for example, the metal material is placed in a quartz crucible as it has no electrical resistance; then when intermediate frequency alternating current passes through the induction coil, it creates dense magnetic field lines, cuts the metal materials held in the crucible, and instantaneously heats and melts the metal.

The significant advantage of induction melting is its high-quality results. The process is free of impurities and uniform, and it also keeps safety and efficiency in mind - the automated induction melting line avoids industrial accidents in operation miss and makes the heating process stable and effective.

Features:

Medium Frequency Induction Melting Machine

The medium frequency induction heating machine is equipped with solid-state IGBT frequency conversion control technologies and provides signals under conditions of overcurrent, water shortage, overheating, over-voltage, short circuit, and phase missing. This greatly improves its reliability.

The machine has functions to display the current, voltage, and timing, which make it easier to understand the working condition and give guidance to induction coil design and capacitance control.

The melting machine is featured by small size, lightweight, only requiring not more than Isqm of space, movable, continuous heating ability of up to 24 hours, and low power consumption, with electromagnetic grinding capability that provides uniform smelting with better heating penetration and even temperature inside the melting metal. Generally, the melting time is within 30-50 minutes per furnace, which takes 50-60 minutes to heat up when the furnace is fully cooled, and around 20-30 minutes when the furnace is already hot.

 

Main Characteristics

The melting furnace is environmentally friendly and has more uniform melting. It is intelligent and can diagnose itself comprehensively, with independent protection. It requires less energy and is 10-30% more energy-efficient than traditional induction heating equipment. It is fairly easy to install and simple to operate, with a ready-to-use design and instant start. As it provides voltage output at just half of traditional induction heating devices, the heating effect is better, but safer and more efficient.

VS Resistance heated furnace:

It is known for its high heat efficiency and fast melting process. While its smaller size provides more energy saving, up to 30%, the resistance and silicon carbide stock are prone to be damaged easily.

 

VS Coal, Gas, diesel furnace:

This type of furnace is beneficial to the adjustment of solution composition and temperature. The foundry bubble can be reduced from 1/3 to 1/4, which also results in the reject rate going down from 1/2 to 2/3. It also has better mechanical strength compared with other furnaces. The use of coal and gas furnaces can lead to oxidation of burning as well as the addition of impurities in aluminum alloy due to the use of cast-iron crucibles. Induction melting can overcome those two problems by melting scrap and small pieces of material and reducing environmental pollution.

 

VS SCR or Frequency Melting Furnace:

Similar to resistance melting furnaces, this kind of furnace also has the advantage of high heat efficiency and small size, which provides more energy savings (above 20%). The electromagnetic stirring effect is slight, so the service life of the crucible is also extended. It can even adjust the frequency to achieve power regulation, which causes its faster melting speed and the reduction of burning loss. It is especially suitable for heating of stainless steel, copper, silicon, aluminum, and other non-magnetic materials.
