Inconel 601 is a standard engineering material that has great resistance to heat and corrosion. Inconel 601 also has high strength and good workability with excellent metallurgical stability and a high resistance to carburization. Inconel 601 is hardened and strengthened through a cold work process.

As is expected, Nickel Alloy 601 is composed mostly of nickel (58-63%) and also includes:

Cr 21-25%

Al 1-1.7%

Mn 1% max

Co 1%

Si .5% max

Fe balance

Si .59% max

S .015% max
