Step 1

Place the U-bolt around the pole or pipe. The threads should point toward the object being fastened.

Step 2

Slide the U-bolt clamp over the part you are attaching. Push the two U-bolt threaded ends into the two holes on the U-bolt clamp.

Step 3

Place a washer on each of the threaded U-bolt ends. Place a bolt on each threaded end.

Step 4

Turn the first bolt by hand in a clockwise direction until snug. Repeat this with the second bolt.

Step 5

Tighten the bolts with the wrench. Follow the manufacturer's recommendation pertaining to the amount of torque required.
