Polarizing beam splitter prism
The polarizing beam splitter prism is an optical element which is
formed by plating a multilayer film structure on the inclined
surface of a right-angle prism, and then gluing to form a cubic
structure. By utilizing the property that the transmittance of P
polarized light is 1 and the transmittance of S polarized light is
less than 1 when light is incident at Brewster angle, after the
light passes through the multilayer film structure for many times
at Brewster angle, the obtained P polarized component is completely
transmitted, and most of the S polarized component is reflected (at
least more than 90%).
The polarizing beam splitter prism is used to separate the
horizontal polarization and vertical polarization of a beam of
light, the transmittance ratio of P light to S light is more than
1000, and the transmittance of P light is ensured to be more than
90%. It has the characteristics of small stress, high extinction
ratio, good imaging quality and small beam deflection angle. The
wavelength covers 420-1600nm. It can be used for polarization,
polarization detection, light intensity adjustment and other
occasions.
It should be noted that the working effect of polarizing beam
splitter prism is limited by wavelength. In addition, the
polarization splitting prism is only an element for roughly
selecting polarization, and if the purity requirement for
polarization is very high, the Glenthompson prism can be used.
Triangular Prism
In geometry, a triangular prism is a three-sided prism; it is a
polyhedron made of a triangular base, a translated copy, and 3
faces joining corresponding sides. A right triangular prism has
rectangular sides, otherwise it is oblique. A uniform triangular
prism is a right triangular prism with equilateral bases, and
square sides.
Equivalently, it is a polyhedron of which two faces are parallel,
while the surface normals of the other three are in the same plane
(which is not necessarily parallel to the base planes). These three
faces are parallelograms. All cross-sections parallel to the base
faces are the same triangle.
Right angle prism
A right angle prism is often used as a reflector, which can turn
the optical path 90 degrees. After total internal reflection, it
can also be used as an image retroreflector, which can turn light
180 degrees.
- Efficient rotation of broadband light beam
- Rotate beam 90 or 180
- The molten Shi Ying mold can be transported to 220nm
90 rotation: 90 rotation occurs on an inclined plane. Imaging is
upright or upside down
180 rotation
180 rotation takes the inclined plane as the entrance surface and
the exit surface. When the plane of incident light contains
vertices, it is mainly used as an image retroreflector.
