Fly ash is a residue of clay minerals in coal processing. It could be processed and recycled for some valuable applications. During the fly ash flotation operation, a quite small quantity of a flotation agent (commonly oil) is added to the slurry. Actually, fuel oil can be employed, though more efficient agents developed particularly for fly ash recycling are obtainable.
The slurry progresses via a group of dams and weirs. Flotation agent, with a higher affinity for the carbon compared to the mineral content of the ash, tends to float the carbon to the peak while the heavier minerals settle towards the bottom. The operation can be achieved in multiple stages to accomplish more complete separation.
The fly ash drying operation is processed mainly in three stages: generate hot air, expose wet fly ash to hot air, and get the dried fly ash. The fly ash drying plant is including the following components.
1. Hot air circuit;
2. Feed system;
3. Feed distribution system;
4. Drying cum conveying system;
5. Coflow bag house;
6. All the intermediate ducting and piping;
7. Instrumentation and control panel.
Fly ash can be recycled for various applications in mining industry, infrastructures and agriculture. It can be applied to replace cement in concrete production, used as aggregate.
In the recycling process, many types of equipment will be involved including fly ash milling machine, fly ash processing and beneficiation plant, fly ash drying plant by cyclone, rotary dryer, air classification machine etc. Our expert will design best grinding and recycling solution according to your needs.
