Thrust Sensor FFG is made of stainless steel utilizing strain gauge technology to deliver maximum 0.1% non-linearity of rated output intended for both tension and compression force measurement. Miniature thrust sensor FFG offers 0-20N / 0-50N / 0-100N / 0-200N / 0-500N / 0-1kN / 0-2kN seven rated capacities to choose from.Stainless steel construction, flange design, compact size, bidirectional force measurement, high accuracy, Miniature Cylindrical Thrust Transducer FFG offers a perfect mixture for applications such as wire tension control, force distribution analysis, automated control, actuator thrust measurement, assembly force monitoring, spring testing, ultrasonic welding clamp force control, hand press force verification,and so on. A Force Sensor is a transducer that converts mechanical load into mV signal proportional to the applied force.The acting force causes deformation of the measuring element,the bonded strain gage deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus the load/force can be measured by measuring the output signal from the transducer.

Output signal of load cell and amplifier:
Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
Rated output of Flanged Thrust Transducer FFG is normally around 2.0mV/V.
Power supply of Flange Type Thrust Sensor FFG is normally within 3-15V.
Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
So the output range of Thrust Force Load Cell FFG is normally within 0…+30mV.
Example one: Thrust Force Transducer FFG-500N with 2.0mV/V sensitivity powered by 10V DC,the output range is 0...+20mV.
Example two: Thrust Load Cell FFG-200N with 2.0mV/V rated output powered by 5V DC,the output range is 0...+10mV.

Cylinder_Thrust_Measurement_100N

The mV/V output from the wheatstone bridge sometimes can hardly be processed directly, a signal conditioner can be used with the load cell to deliver -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output.
Example one: Flange Type Thrust Sensor FFG-200N working with amplifier FSC(0-10V)-24V,the Load-Voltage relationship will be 0-200N thrust force VS 0-10V output, which is linear regardless of the measurement error, 0V output corresponds to “0” load, 1V output corresponds to 20N thrust load, 2V output corresponds to 40N thrust load, and so on.
Example two: Flanged Thrust Load Cell FFG-500N working with amplifier FSC(4-20mA)-24V,the Force-Current relationship will be 0-500N thrust force VS 4-20mA output, which is linear regardless of the measurement error, 4mA output corresponds to “0” load, 5.6mA output corresponds to 50N thrust load, 7.2mA output corresponds to 100N thrust load, and so on.
Flange Mounted Thrust Load Cell FFG can also work with digital indicator FPT to deliver below functions:
-Display force value in real time
-Peak holding to grab the maximum force during testing
-RS485 or RS232 interface
-0-5V/0-10V/4-20mA analog output
-Switch output
