KPH310 Online PH Sensor Signal Output: RS-485 Double High Impedance Differential Amplifier Ip68

1.Application Environment

For environmental water quality monitoring, acid/alkali/salt solution, chemical reaction process, industrial production process, can meet the majority of industrial applications on-line pH measurement requirements.

2.Feature

  • Signal Output: RS-485(Modbus/RTU protocol).
  • Convenient to connect to PLC, DCS, Industrial Control Computer, General Controller, paperless recording instrument or touch screen and other third-party equipment.
  • Double high impedance Differential amplifier, strong anti-interference, fast response.
  • The patented pH probe, with an internal reference fluid at a pressure of at least 100 kpa (1 bar), oozes extremely slowly from the microporous salt bridge, with a forward exudation lasting more than 20 months. Such a reference system is very stable, electrode life than ordinary industrial electrode times longer.

5.Installation and Electrical Connection

5.1 Installs

Note: The sensor can not be installed upside down or horizontally, at least tilt more than 15 degrees’ angle installation.

5.2 Electrical Connection

The cable is a 4-core twisted pair shielded wire defined in line sequence:

Red wire -- power cord (12V-24VDC)

Black line (GND)

Blue Line -- 485a

White line -- 485b

Before electrification, the wiring sequence should be carefully checked to avoid unnecessary losses caused by wiring errors.

Wiring instructions: Consider the cable long-term immersion in water (including seawater) or exposed to air, all wiring is required to do waterproof treatment, customer cable should have a certain anti-corrosion ability.

6.Maintenance

6.1 Use and Maintenance

pH sensor in the measurement, should first in distilled water (or deionized water) clean, and dry with filter paper to prevent impurities into the measured solution, 1/3 of the sensor should be inserted into the measured solution.

When not in use, the sensor should be washed and inserted into a protective sheath containing a solution of 3.5 mol/L potassium chloride or into a container containing a solution of 3.5 mol/L potassium chloride.

Check whether the terminal is dry, if there is any dirt, please wipe with absolute alcohol, blow dry after use. Long-term immersion in distilled water or protein solutions should be avoided and contact with silicone oils should be avoided. When the sensor is used for a long time, its glass film may become translucent or attached to sediment, which can be washed with dilute hydrochloric acid and rinsed with water. Sensor use a long time, there is a measurement error, with the instrument must be calibrated, corrected.

When the above way to the sensor maintenance and maintenance can not be calibration and measurement, that the sensor has failed, please replace the sensor.

6.2 Calibration

Note: The sensor has been calibrated before the factory, if not out of measurement error, not optional calibration.

Zero calibration

Take 250 ml of distilled water from a measuring cylinder, pour it into a beaker, add a pack of calibration powder with ph = 6.86, stir evenly with a glass rod until the powder completely dissolves, configure a solution with ph = 6.86, place the sensor in the solution and wait 3 to 5 minutes, when the value is stable to see whether the value displayed is 6.86, if it is not zero calibration, calibration instructions refer to the appendix.

Slope calibration

For acidic solutions: measure 250 ml of distilled water from a measuring cylinder, pour it into a beaker, add a pack of calibration powder with ph = 4.00, stir it with a glass rod until the powder is completely dissolved and configured as a solution with ph = 4.00; place the sensor in the solution, wait 3-5 minutes, wait until the value is stable to see whether the value is 4.00, if not, need slope calibration, calibration instructions refer to appendix.

For alkaline solution: measure 250 ml of distilled water with a measuring cylinder, pour it into a beaker, add a bag of calibration powder with ph = 9.18, stir it evenly with a glass rod until the powder completely dissolves and is configured as a solution with ph = 9.18. Place the sensor in the solution, wait 3 to 5 minutes, wait until the values are stable to see if the display is 9.18, if not then slope calibration is required, calibration instructions refer to appendix.
