Introduction

 

Ultrasonic sensors are sensors that convert ultrasonic signals into other energy signals (usually electrical signals). Ultrasonic wave is a mechanical wave whose vibration frequency is higher than 20kHz. It has the characteristics of high frequency, short wavelength, small diffraction phenomenon, especially good directivity, can become a ray and directional propagation. Ultrasonic waves can penetrate liquids and solids very well, especially in solids that are opaque to sunlight. The ultrasonic wave will produce significant reflection when it encounters impurities or boundary surface and form reflection echo. It can produce Doppler effect when it encounters moving objects.

 

Principle
