Double Plugs Quick-Install Cementing Head

1,Purpose

The double plug quick-install cementing head is a special tool for cementing double plugs(bottom plugs and top plugs).

2,Structure Theories

The structure of double rubber plugs quick-fix cementing head is shown in Figure 1. The quick-install connector 6 of the cementing head is used to connect with the sleeve; The main body 2 for mounting plugs；the plug release plunger assembly 4a,4b is used to block rubber plugs；Open the upper top cover 1 to load the rubber plugs into the cementing head；Connected with cement injection pipeline and slurry pipeline by 2" 1502 Union 7; Three interfaces connected to the cylinder are equipped with piston valves; The cap and the main body have acme thread of big screw pitch,Between the tube 2 and the lower connector 6 is a fast connection mechanism for rapid installation

5,Usage Method

1. Open the top cover, turn the lower spiral block into 4B all, install the bottom plug, and then spin the upper spiral block into 4a all to install the top plug.

2．Install the top cover and insert a crowbar between the tooth sockets on the top cover and tighten the top cover.

3．The slurry line and cement line are respectively attached to the Siren interface on the pipe sink and cylinder.

4．Opening the union 7c,circulating mud (At this time, union7A and 7B are closed.).

5. Before the cement is poured, when it is necessary to release the plug, first close by the union 7c,open the plug release plunger assembly 4b,open the union 7b and cementing. confirm whether the bottom plug is going down through the adhesive plug drop indicator 3B; when the cement is finished,open the plug release plunger assembly 4a,closed union 7b,then open the union 7a to replace mud, push top plug run down the hole, At this point, you can confirm whether the top plug is going down through the indicator 3A, and then replace mud.

Notes

1. Rotate the plug release plunger right, the plug release plunger go into main body to stop plug. Rotate the plug release plunger left, the plug release plunger quit from main body,the pass of the plug is possible. The plug release plunger must be rotated in or rotated out completely to avoid it damaged or the plug is stuck .

2. Before fixing, Whether the length and Outside Diameter of the plug mathing the cementing head or not should be confirmed.

3. When the handler of the indicator parallel the axis of main body , The cuniform moving block retract in indicator . When the handler of the indicator at the horizontal , The cuniform moving block hold out from indicator . When the handler of the indicator roate from horizontal to parallel,the plug already pass.

6,Maintenance

1,Maintenance of Pipeline

Open the nonanisone, remove the sink, rinse the sink, and butter each joint.

2,Maintenance of the cap

Screw off the cap,wash and clean it,check the O-ring whether good or not.The damaged O-ring should be replaced. Butter the cap and screw it down.

3,Maintenance of the quick-install joint

Hammer the quick-install joint open,wash and clean it,check the O-ring whether good or not.The damaged O-ring should be replaced. Butter the quick-install joint and screw it,hammer it together.

4,Maintenance of the plug release plunger assembly(It's not necessary after use every time)

As shown in figure 2,screw off the nut, take off the handwheel and the

bolt down, screw off the plug release plunger assembly using pipe tongs, screw off the plug release plunger,checking and replacing the damaged O-ring,wash and butter the the plug release plunger assembly, Assemble it in contrary order.The plug release plunger should be screwed in main body completely to avoid it damaged.

5, Maintenance of the indicator(If the handle can rotate freely, It's not necessary)

Washing the cement in main body,roating the handle.If the hanle can roate freely,pass. If the hanle can not roate freely, take it apart refering the figure 3,.Screw off the nut, tap the shaft out,take the adjusting washer and the cuniform moving block out ,washing and buttering it ,replacing the damaged O-ring, assemble it in contrary order.

6, Maintenance of the Lock block assembly

Regular injection of oil or butter into the ball of self-locking pin with an oil gun; The clamping nut on the wire rope is tightened with a wrench or pliers.

7,Noted Items

1. Besides maintenance after using, the cementing head should apply butter and store so as to prevent being exposed under sun or rain. Timely inspection and maintenance is needed.

2. In procedure of transport and hoisting up and down from drill platform ,Thread of cement head should wear thread protectors, Fierce impact must be prohibited to avoid transformation or damage.
