This is the first time that 10G short distance optical fiber module shipments exceed Gigabit short distance fiber transceivers. The report also pointed out that the exchange service from the current Gigabit rise to 10G, the data center may be 40G/100G. 10G OTN is still the mainstream technology of optical network bearer mode, and 40G OTN is considered as a transitional technology. With the increase of network bandwidth demand, 100G technology has become the mainstream direction recognized by the industry. However, due to the large number of 4G systems have been deployed before, although the introduction of 100G system has become an irresistible trend, the future of 10G, 40G, 100G systems will coexist for a long time.
