NPK Compound Fertilizer Production Line/ Fertilizer Manufacturing Plant
This Rotary Drum Granulation production line is equipped with a static batching machine, double-shaft mixer, rotary drum granulator, chain crusher, rotary drum dryer & cooler, rotary drum screening machine, and other auxiliary fertilizer equipment. The annual output can be 30,000 tons. Process flow:
Raw materials batching (Static batching machine)→Mixing (Double
shaft mixer)→ Granulating (rotary drum granulator) → Drying (rotary
drum dryer) → Cooling (rotary drum cooler) → Finished products
screening (rotary drum sifting machine) → Sub-standard granules
crushing (vertical fertilizer chain crusher) → Coating (rotary drum
coating machine) → Finished products packing (automatic
quantitative packager) → Storage (storing in a cool and dry place)

Steps:
1. Raw materials batching
According to market demand and local soil determination results,
raw materials such as urea, ammonium nitrate, ammonium chloride,
ammonium sulphate, ammonium phosphate (monoammonium phosphate,
diammonium phosphate, heavy calcium, general calcium) and potassium
chloride (potassium sulphate) shall be allocated in a certain
proportion. The additives and trace elements are weighed by the
belt scale and proportioned to a certain proportion. According to
the formula ratio, all the raw materials are evenly mixed by the
mixer. This process is called premix. It ensures accurate
formulation and enables efficient and continuous batching.
2. Mixing
Fully mix the prepared raw materials and stir them evenly, which
lays a foundation for efficient and high-quality granular
fertilizer. Horizontal mixer or disc mixer can be used for even
mixing.
3. Materials Granulating
After crushing, materials are transported into rotary drum
granulator by belt conveyor. With the constant rotating of drum,
the materials form a rolling bed, and moves along a certain path.
Under the extrusion force produced, the materials agglomerate into
small particles, which become the core, attaching the powder around
to form the qualified spherical granules.
4. Fertilizer Drying
Material shall be dried after granulating to reach the water
content standard. When the dryer is rotating, a series of internal
fins will lift the material by lining the inner wall of the dryer.
When the material reaches certain height to roll the fins back,
it will be fell back to the bottom of the dryer, then passing
through the hot gas stream as it falls. Independent air hating
system, centralize waste discharge result in energy and cost
saving.
5. Fertilizer Cooling
Rotary drum cooler removes fertilizer water and lowers temperature,
used with rotary dryer in organic fertilizer and in-organic
fertilizer production, which greatly increases cooling speed, and
relieves work intensification. The rotary cooler also can be used
to cool other powdered & granular materials.
6. Fertilizer screeningAfter cooling, all unqualified granules are
screened out through the rotary screening machine and
transported by the belt conveyor to the mixer and then mixed with
the other raw materials for reprocessing. The finished products
will be transported to the compound fertilizer coating machine.
7. Coating
It is mainly used to coat the surface of quasi-granules with a
uniform protective film to effectively extend the preservation
period and make granules smoother. After coating, here come to the
last process - packaging.
8. Packaging
Automatic quantitative packaging machine is adopted in this
process. The machine is composed of an automatic weighing and
packing machine, conveying systems, sealing machines, and so on.
Hopper can also be configured according to customer requirements.
Quantitative packaging of bulk materials such as organic fertilizer
and compound fertilizer has been widely used in different
industries and fields.
