1. Function of the Comprehensive Test Chamber

IPX8 high pressure water tank is designed according to IEC60529-2001 regarding the second characteristic numerals 8 for continuous immersion test. Waterproof test simulates the condition of raining, which is mainly applied to electronic products, luminaire, electric components, motor and house-holding appliance. The waterproof test can help to judge the products’ performance, and provide the basis for design, improve and inspect. IPX8 test is subject to the agreement between user and manufacturer, the test simulates the condition under 0 to 50m below the water.

However, with certain types of equipment, it can mean that water can enter but only in such a manner that it produces no harmful effects. Test duration: continuous immersion in water, depth specified by manufacturer, generally up to 3 m.
