Are you fed up of running out of gas when you least expect it?
If the answer is yes then this indicator is the one for you.
This indicator can be used on any propane,butane cylinder or a mixture of the gases.It has a magnet backing which attaches to the outside of the cylinder and shows the level of gas.When your cylinder is empty simply remove the indicator and place on the new tank.
The indicator has been taken out of the packing for illustration purposes.
Please read on for instructions:
Whilst using this gas level indicator,carry out the following procedures:
Ensure that the surface of the propane/butane tank has been wiped clean and dry before placing the indicator on the bottom half of the tank.
The indicator should not be placed in direct sunlight.
Before starting to use the gas level indicator,a compete vertical line of bars will be observed.
Switch the gas appliance on and allow approximately 5 to 10 minutes before taking a reading.
After this period of time you will notice the bar color will change below the liquid level.The gas level in the cylinder will be indicated by the point at which a change in color takes place.
If the cylinder is still full there will only be single stripe of the same color.
Please note that reliable readings will only be observed when the level of the gas is in the lower portion of the tank.
This indicator can be used on any size propane/butane tank.
It has a magnetic backing and is reusable.

1. Gauge doesn't indicate anything - While the gauge is installed at the lower half of the tank,it never shows any bars of any kind of to indicate the level of gas in the tank.What am I doing wrong with the gauge that it indicate nothing ?
There are two primary factors in using this product. First, this GLI is not to be in direct sunlight. Second, it only works when the propane tank is being used. The following documents may be helpful for the use of the indicator: GLI Instructions and GLI Theory of Operation.
2. Will it work on 100lb tank ? Will it work on horizontal , built - in tank ? Do you have to pour water over tank to rea gauge ?
(1) Yes, if the tank is a vertical construction. The indicator does not 'operate' until the internal gas level falls in range of the indicator and said propane tank is in use.
(2) No,it will not read correctly on a horizontal tank .
(3) No, you don't have to pour water over this.
