Principle
The progressive cavity pump consists of stator and rotor, the
principle is that an annular seal space is formed in the suction
side by the rotate of the rotor and the inner surface of the stator
rubber, and goes to discharge end, then disappear. The oil is drawn
in at the function of the suction side’s differential pressure, and
pushed to the discharge end from the suction side. The pressure
goes up continuously, the flow is uniform.
Advantages and characteristics
Advantages:
1. The flow is uniform and changes little under the different
pressure;
2. No valve, and adaptability to gas well, it won't produce "gas
locking" phenomenon;
3. Structure characteristics: Little moving parts, short and easy
flow channel, large flow area, little disturbance of oil flow,
strong carrying capacity.
4. Good adaption to sands and paraffin, the pump can work in
high-viscosity crude oil with high efficiency.
5. The advantages of the PCP are relatively speaking, and some
special mediums will affect the hydraulic characteristic of it. But
rather than pumping unit and the electric pump, the sensibility of
PCP is smaller.
Characteristics:
1. The efficient, low speed AC PM synchronous motor is used to keep
high power factor;
2. Transmission structure is simple, reasonable and efficient,
which saves energy by 30%;
3. Low speed AC PM motor has big starting torque, so there is no
need to reserve starting power;
4. With unique gradient torque release program, the elastic
potential energy of the sucker rod can be released fast and
completely;
5. The operation is safe and convenient due to stepless speed
regulation.
