Our efficient degasser is ideal equipment for safe and productive drilling operations to detect and remove gas from drilling mud. Compared to water gas mud, it is more difficult for gas detection and removal while gas is readily soluble in oil base mud. The gas present mud can decrease efficiencies in rig pumps, centrifugal pumps, and associated operational equipment, so the goal of degasser is to “Keep the pumps Operating”.

 

Aipu solids control produces both vacuum degasser and centrifugal type degasser for oil & gas drilling solids control system. The centrifugal degasser at AIPU is the high-quality API standard degasser. The model is APLCQ300. We know the centrifugal degasser in mud cleaning is also referred to as a normal pressure degasser. It's high-efficiency equipment to remove gas or air bubbles in drilling mud. It's a special equipment to process the drilling mud mixed with gas. Why do clients prefer centrifugal degasser?


The vacuum vessel type degasser is the traditional vacuum degasser in China, it is a self-contained type and not need an extra jetting pump. The working principle is as below:
The vacuum pump creates negative pressure in the horizontal type vacuum tank, so it can suck the mud from the mud tank under the vacuum degasser, then the mud spray to the tank wall through surrounded windows of the hollow shaft. The mud separated into thin layers, bubbles immersed in the slurry breakup, and gas escaped. Gas is discharged to a safe zone from the gas separator through the suction of the vacuum pump and the separation of the gas water separator.
It's a typical vertical degasser that occupies less space. Such degasser is a rather powerful and energy-saving design. From the drive to the filtration configuration at the input bottom it leads to good performance and the ability to suit the different working conditions.

How do we ensure the balance of internal structure in the degasser during operation?


The shaft upside is steadily fixed with the main structure, and the impeller and shaft are connected by fixing plate and bolts. The bottom of the degasser vessel is designed with a stabilizer to avoid shake or vibration. Furthermore, the shaft and impeller will be processed by dynamic balance for better performance.
