Applications of Pediatric Forced-air Surgical Patient Warming
Blanket
Operating room temperatures are often kept relatively low to
prevent the spread of microbial contaminants. Therefore, to reduce
the risk of bleeding, cardiovascular problems and other
cold-related complications, such blankets are almost always used to
keep the patient warm, especially during long procedures. They also
are employed during post-operative recovery.
Technologies of Applications of Full-body Forced-air Surgical Patient Warming Blanket
Some versions cover the entire body, while others are designed for
the lower or upper body only, so as not to hinder the surgeon's
work.
Forced-air warming (FAW) system designed to prevent hypothermia and
keep patients at a normal core body temperature during all three
phases of orthopedic surgery - preoperative, intraoperative and
postoperative phases. The blankets stabilize core temperature ahead
of surgery, then maintain it during the procedure and immediately
afterwards as the patient recovers
The Blankets are intended for single patient use only.Reuse may
result in biocontamination or infection.
