Drying Furnace
Process Description
1. Slurry preparation:slurry preparation can be divided into manual
slurry preparation and automatic slurry preparation. Manual slurry
preparation is manually weighing the quartz sand and soda ash
according to the proportion of the formula, then through lift put
into the furnace to react. Automatic slurry preparation is
automatically weighing the quartz sand and soda ash, then through
the delivery device automatically put into the furnace to react.
2. Firing:after the materials were put into the furnace, the
chemical reaction is occurred at the high temperature of
1350℃-1450℃.The molten sodium silicate form solid glassy solid
lumps by air cooling or water cooling. Finished products are sent
to warehouse or stacked or cooled to normal temperature. The
regenerative preheater is used in the design of the reflector. The
air and gas can be separately preheated to 1100℃ and 900 ℃ by 1200
℃ of the 1200 ℃ of the flue gas from furnace, temperature of
exhaust gas is reduced to below 180 ℃, so as to save energy and
reduce consumption.
3. Melting:If liquid sodium silicate is necessary, melt the solid
sodium silicate into liquid. There are two ways to melt. The
water-cooled solid is melted by the rotary dissolving tank, and the
air-cooled solid is melted by static dissolving tank.
