Dell Storage SC9000 Array Controller
Expand and simplify enterprise data centers and accelerate them
The SC9000 provides the ideal solution for large-scale storage,
high-end workloads, and distributed enterprise environments.
Leveraging Dell's 13th generation server platform, our latest
flagship arrays deliver all of the industry-leading features of the
SC family of products in a fully upgraded and scalable system.
Enhancements include:
IOPS increased by 40%, 5 throughput increased by more than 110% 6
Two 8-core Intel® Xeon® processors with 4x system memory
Intelligent deduplication and compression
Multi-array federation and automatic failover
Virtualization and encryption enhancements
Cross-platform replication and shared management with PS Series
arrays
The Dell Copilot service is the backbone of the SC9000, integrating
centralized support, training and sales resources, and 24/7 active
system monitoring to help you improve performance and stability.
Dell Storage SC9000 - Large scale for vertical and horizontal
expansion
Implement data center level storage management
While a single SC9000 supports fast, modular expansion beyond the
original SAN and/or NAS capacity of 3 PB per array, it can also
connect to other SC Series arrays in larger joint systems,
improving data control throughout the environment and Separate it.
The included Live Migrate Storage Hypervisor feature lets you move
volumes between arrays without interruption without having to remap
the hosts.
Equipped with Volume Advisor, you can proactively monitor all
arrays and achieve optimal volume placement based on customizable
policies.
Achieve outstanding flash and hybrid array performance
Innovative all-flash and hybrid SC9000 solutions enable changes in application speed and impact. Intelligent multi-layer SSD capacity, 7 new 12 Gb SAS backends, and a variety of hard drives and ultra-high-density expansion options give the SC9000 strong performance, throughput reservations and flexibility to meet changing workload demands.
With the SC9000, flash memory of all sizes is practical and
affordable, extending its proven competitive edge to more aspects
of the data-driven business.
Dell Storage SC9000 - Delivers outstanding flash and hybrid array
performance
Storage is always available
The SC9000 is ideal for uninterrupted environments such as private
cloud deployments. Live Volume provides native business continuity
for transparent automatic failover of synchronous spare volumes on
another SC Series array. Live Volume keeps workloads running during
unexpected outages and automatically repairs your high availability
environment after the array is back online.
Achieve a higher level of intelligence and efficiency with
intelligent compression and replication for all hard drive types,
dynamic RAID tiering, and the ubiquitous “thin” approach, saving
real cost for business reinvestment.
Enhanced storage virtualization and control capabilities allow you
to tailor resources to business priorities, leveraging QoS and VVol
support to meet service level agreement (SLA) requirements for
mission-critical applications, even in multi-tenant environments.
Unprecedented flexibility and investment protection Allow SC arrays
to coexist and replicate in PS Series environments. Now, PS Series
customers can add SC arrays to their choice.
Dell Storage SC9000 - Modular Enterprise Platform
Modular enterprise platform
Redundant, hot-swappable components make the SC9000 a resilient, easy-to-deploy, and highly available solution. Increase capacity quickly with any of the five supported expansion enclosures. Customize I/O connections to multi-protocol SANs (FC, iSCSI, and FCoE) with optional FS8600 NAS devices and support file storage in the same pool.
SC9000 customers can confidently expand because they know that they
are deploying a truly future-proof solution. More investment
protection includes:
Extensive third-party integration (VMware, Microsoft, Oracle, IBM,
etc.)
Solid-state hard drive lifetime warranty, comprehensive protection
for wear and tear 8
Efficiently absorb new technologies with flexible tiering
Optional FIPS certified self-encrypting SSD and regular hard drive
Simplified permanent software license
