HIGH SILICA GLASS FIBER CHOPPED STRAND (HCY-CS)
CYC High Silica Glass Fiber Chopped Strands are cut from continuous silica fiber with diameter around 9μm and after special treatment to made silica dioxide content is above 96%. It is mainly used to produce high silica needled mat as filtration material and heat resistant filler materials. An ideal material to replace the ceramic fiber in thermal insulation field such as engine protection. It is also used to reinforcing phenolic resin to making ablation resistant materials.

APPLICATIONS:
CYC High Silica Glass Fiber Chopped Strand is the raw material for High Silica Needle Mat. High Silica Glass Fiber Chopped Strand with heat treatment can be used as filling materials with High Temperature Resistance, High Insulation and Low shrinkage. Its final products are used for the High Temperature-Resistance Insulation materials, High Temperature-Proof materials, High Temperature Gas , Liquid-Filtration materials, Thermal Insulation of Spacecrafts and so on.
STORAGE:
CYC High Silica Glass Fiber Chopped Strand should be stored in its original packing in a dry and cool place. Best conditions are at temperatures from 15 to 35 degree and humidity between 35% to 65%. To ensure safety and avoid damage to the product, the pallets should not be stacked more than three layers high, when the pallets are stacked in 2 or 3 layer, care should be taken to correctly and smoothly move the top pallet.
