Fixed Boom Marine Crane
Hydraulic main and aux hoist shall be provided. All hoists will have a failsafe hydraulic design with automatic
breaking in event of power failure of hydraulic power loss . Hoist brakes shall be disc type brakes with internal
oil bath to provide lubrication and cooling. All hoists shall meet the requirements of API personnel handling.
Main and aux will have emergency lowering capabilities.
(2) Luffing Cylinders
All Ram luffing cylinders have counter balance valves mounted on each cylinder.
The structural steel of the turret is high strength steel. The turret is attached to the pedestal by a Rotex or equal
bearing using grade 8 bolts for long life in harsh environment.
(4) Walkways and Ladder Assemblies(Optional)
All walkways are of angle and channel steel and welded to the structure of the crane body.
(5)Optional Standard Features of Operators Cab (Small cranes can be offered with walk around controls)
The slew bearing will be of proven manufacture such as Rotek or Avon with 360 degrees rotation with a safety
factor of 5:1 as per API Spec2C. The bearing will be attached to the turret and pedestal by SAE Grade 8 Charpy
tested bolts. The bearing will have easy access for greasing.
The pedestal will be beveled 30 degrees for full penetration welding to platform or vessel pedestal structure. The
design is able to withstand the maximum force transmitted under all defined loads. All fastening hardware will be
supplied and will be SAE , ASTM or ISO grade material Charpy tested. Pedestal length will be determined upon
final acceptance of owner.
