The home "button" in the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus is not a mechanical button like the ones on previous iPhones.
This part includes the touch sensitive button face, the color matched metal ring, and the cable assembly.
Please Note: only the phone's original home touch sensor assembly, paired to the logic board, will be capable of using the Touch ID functionality.
Installing a new home touch sensor will only restore ordinary home functions, not the Touch ID features.
