What is 321 grade stainless steel?

Alloy 321 (UNS S32100) is a titanium stabilized austenitic stainless steel with good general corrosion resistance. It has excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion after exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range of 800 –1500°F (427– 816°C).

Is 321 ss better than 316?

321 has similar resistance to general corrosion in most media as 304, but not as good as 316. 321 has similar resistance to stress corrosion cracking as 304, but not as good as 316. 321 has similar resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion as 304, but not as good as 316.
